Will my data be private and safe?

Yes. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and is never shared with third parties. ChartsConnect is a non-custodial platform — this means we never hold your funds, we never have access to your broker account funds, and we cannot place or cancel trades without a signal instruction from your configured strategy. The EA Token system means only your authenticated automation can communicate with your account.

Does ChartsConnect have access to my broker account funds?

No. ChartsConnect does not have access to withdraw or transfer funds from your broker account. The EA placed in your MT4/MT5 terminal only responds to trade execution signals — open, close, modify. Your broker's fund management remains entirely separate and under your control.

Why can't I connect my broker account?

A few things to check: confirm your broker is MT4/MT5-compatible, make sure you are installing the latest EA, check that your EA Token is entered correctly in the MT4/MT5 EA settings, and confirm your MT4/MT5 terminal is online and logged in. If your broker's system is experiencing downtime, the connection may temporarily fail. If none of these fix it, contact support and we'll diagnose the issue with you.

What should I do if I notice suspicious activity?

Act immediately: change your ChartsConnect password, revoke and regenerate any EA Tokens from your dashboard, and contact our support team. If you suspect your broker account is also compromised, contact your broker directly as well.

How often is my data backed up?

Our infrastructure includes regular automated backups to protect against data loss. Your account settings, strategy configurations, and signal history are all preserved. If you ever experience data issues, contact support and we'll work to restore your configuration.
